Bumbo (n): 1. A drink made from rum, water, sugar and nutmeg, popular in the Caribbean during the era of piracy. 2. A sailboat owned by a couple of drunken louts from Atlanta that somehow manages to stay afloat despite their best efforts.
Bumbo's sleek, with a great bottom when she shows it, and even though she is carrying a little extra weight in the aft it helps keep her nose in the air where most think it belongs. Bumbo's a gracious lady and doesn't demand much from the weekend sailor. Her one bad habit (she'll take a leak on you at her leisure) can be forgiven as it only happens when you stick your head down into her private areas. If this is something you expect to do often, may I suggest wearing a rubber suite.
ReplyDeleteWell so long for now. Three cheers for a
grand lady of the lake.

Don't forget your protection
Gargantuajr,
ReplyDeleteYou have a keen eye to notice the weight aft. It gets compounded by captain and crew and bumbo in the cockpit. There is a reason (correctable!) that she lies as she does. Hope to see you on the high seas!
